Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate Pacific Climate and Health Resilience Package (PCHRP) activities in Vanuatu, including workplans, progress reports, briefing notes, presentations, and required documentation.
  • •Support implementation planning, coordination meetings, monitoring, progress reporting, and follow-up actions to operationalize the Vanuatu HNAP.
  • •Identify barriers, gaps, and enabling factors for HNAP implementation and support development of practical recommendations.
  • •Facilitate alignment and integration of HNAP priorities with broader national adaptation planning processes, including NAPs and related climate policy frameworks.
  • •Support mainstreaming of climate and health priorities into Ministry of Health policies, strategies, operational plans, and programmes, including documentation, knowledge management, and dissemination of lessons learned.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: VUV 1,620,000 - 2,411,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •University degree in a relevant field such as Public Health, Environmental Health, Climate Change, Environmental Management, Health Policy, Health Systems, or Development Studies.
  • •At least two years of relevant professional experience in areas such as public health, climate change, environmental health, health systems strengthening, or health policy.
  • •Experience supporting coordination and implementation of government programmes or projects.
  • •Experience in report writing, stakeholder coordination, and technical documentation.
  • •Familiarity with Health National Adaptation Plans (HNAPs) / National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) and climate policy frameworks, or monitoring and evaluation and policy mainstreaming.
