Key Responsibilities

  • •Collaborate with multidisciplinary turbomachinery and manufacturing engineers to drive rapid design and execution for Starship’s propulsion turbomachinery.
  • •Design, build, and test turbopumps for Starship’s propulsion system.
  • •Size turbomachinery components and perform structural and fluid analysis.
  • •Own turbomachinery product families and develop concepts of operations from acceptance testing through in-flight performance.
  • •Interface with production and collaborate with commercial and governmental customers to support mission success.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • •5+ years of professional experience in turbomachinery design and analysis (structural and/or fluid).
  • •Experience with 3D CAD modeling and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • •Experience with manufacturing process and machine setup.
  • •Hands-on capability to work in varied environments and resolve critical technical issues.
