Key Responsibilities

  • •Patrol and monitor an assigned segment of interstate roadway to identify stranded motorists, roadway deficiencies, and obstructions that may cause lane blockage.
  • •Use strong communication skills with dispatch radio and coordinate with dispatch/district offices.
  • •Professionally assist the public with roadside situations such as dead batteries, running out of gas, or flat tires (no tips/gratuity).
  • •Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Municipal laws, rules, and ordinances.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma (or equivalent GED) or 1 year of relevant work experience in lieu of education.
  • •Be at least 18 years of age.
  • •Ability to drive using an AECOM provided vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no license suspension in the last 5 years).
  • •Pass state and federal criminal history/security and motor vehicle background checks, and complete pre-employment drug screening plus mandatory random drug screening.
  • •Possess or be able and willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications and have working knowledge of basic automotive repair.
