Lead the social foresight and monitoring function to anticipate emerging social trends and risks. Key Responsibilities

•Oversee social monitoring and forecasting by leveraging quantitative analyses, field data, and digital analytics to identify early social issues and their drivers.
•Analyze social indicators, trends, and emerging phenomena; prepare analytical reports and strategic recommendations to support interventions and decision-making.
•Develop and maintain an early-warning framework and scenario analyses to inform policymakers and stakeholders.
•Lead the section by distributing tasks, tracking performance indicators, and guiding staff development and training.
•Coordinate with government, private sector, academic and community partners to align observatory outputs with priority needs and ensure actionable insights for social development.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in sociology, social work, statistics, or social research (priority for specialized degrees in sociology, futures studies or data analysis).
•10+ years of experience in the field with at least 3 years in supervisory roles; 8+ years if holding a master's or related professional certifications.
•Strong experience in social monitoring/forecasting, data analysis, and use of statistical methodologies; ability to develop reports and strategic recommendations.
•Experience building partnerships with government, private sector, academic and community stakeholders; ability to coordinate multi-stakeholder initiatives.
•Ability to lead, develop and mentor a team, manage performance indicators, and align activities with organizational goals.
