Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead end-to-end accounting for components flowing through Anthropic’s compute stack, including cost accumulation, reserves, monthly close, reconciliations, roll-forwards, flux analysis, and fixed-asset transitions upon deployment.
  • •Apply ASC 360 expertise and cost accounting concepts such as standard vs. actual costing, BOM cost accumulation, and landed cost, including impairment and disposals.
  • •Partner with Real Estate, Legal, and Finance during contract negotiation and execution to ensure accounting implications are understood before commitments are made.
  • •Collaborate to improve upstream data pipelines and component tracking (including serial-number-level tracking and existence controls) from purchase order through ship, receipt, build, and deployment.
  • •Design scalable processes, controls, and automation (including leveraging AI tooling) and serve as a trusted point of contact for external auditors on fixed asset accounting while mentoring the accounting team.

Salary: USD 230,000 - 300,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •12+ years of progressive accounting experience with operational experience in technology, manufacturing, or infrastructure-heavy companies.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent preferred.
  • •Strong technical accounting knowledge of ASC 360 (capitalization, useful lives, impairment, disposals) and applied cost accounting (BOM costing, standard vs. actual, obsolescence/NRV).
  • •Experience managing a significant fixed asset or component/inventory portfolio in a high-growth environment.
  • •Experience leading and developing teams of accounting professionals and translating technical accounting into clear implications for non-finance stakeholders.
