Solicit residential first-mortgage leads through Realtors, builders, and developers, and manage the referral pipeline within the bank region. Interview applicants, analyze financial data to determine creditworthiness, and maintain current knowledge of loan products and underwriting guidelines. Collect documentation, use daily rates and credit reports, coordinate DU responses with the processor, and deliver timely loan packages while providing high-touch customer service and attending required lending meetings.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with assigned branch office to ensure awareness of home loan products.
•Handle referrals from branch office and provide appropriate follow-up.
•Develop referral contacts (realtors, builders, professional and personal contacts).
•Take borrower applications, analyze creditworthiness, and maintain underwriting and processing knowledge.
•Collect documentation, utilize daily rates and credit reports with DU responses, transmit information to the processor, and attend required lending meetings.

Key Requirements

•Equivalent of a four-year college degree plus 4 years of related experience and/or training, and 2 years of related management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Analyze financial data to determine creditworthiness for residential mortgage applicants.
•Maintain knowledge of available loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting guidelines.
•Ability to collect appropriate documentation from applicants and deliver complete loan packages to the processor in a timely manner.
•S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
