Key Responsibilities

  • •Take ideas from paper to prototype to production, including model-layer work that meets product-level accuracy.
  • •Build working AI systems by composing multiple models and selecting appropriate model sizes and configurations.
  • •Write real Python and PyTorch code and apply systems insight to improve training performance.
  • •Design and run experiments with clear hypotheses, ablations, and results validation.
  • •Develop evaluation approaches to verify model quality and explain work to non-AI stakeholders such as clinicians and operators.

Key Requirements

  • •MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field (exceptionally strong BS with substantial research or open-source work considered).
  • •First-author publications at NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP, or similar; or meaningful open-source ML contributions and research internship experience.
  • •Experience fine-tuning an open-weight model and explaining parameter-efficient vs full fine-tuning choices.
  • •Strong Python and PyTorch skills.
  • •Familiarity with training and serving stack components such as HuggingFace, FSDP or DeepSpeed, and vLLM or SGLang; plus exposure to multi-GPU training/sharding concepts.
