Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide environmental safety input across new and existing product development and external issue management.
  • •Conduct Environmental Risk Assessments (ERAs) for medicinal products in line with regulations, company policies, and guidelines.
  • •Develop and maintain programs to ensure environmental safety and regulatory compliance across raw materials, products, packaging, and devices.
  • •Oversee external environmental toxicity studies to support product safety, registration, and compliance.
  • •Train and mentor the environmental toxicology team, establish governance for safety outputs, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scientifically sound assessments.

Key Requirements

  • •BSc (or higher) in Ecotoxicology, Environmental Toxicology, Toxicology, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • •Strong communication skills to convey environmental toxicology risks and technical information in verbal and written form.
  • •Experience writing environmental risk assessments (ERA) for human medicinal products, including data interpretation and tools such as QSAR, EUSES, and CHESAR.
  • •Strong knowledge of environmental toxicology regulations and how to apply them to risk assessments and compliance.
  • •Proven track record delivering environmental toxicology projects, including writing regulatory submissions and responding to authorities’ questions.
