Key Responsibilities

  • •Set up areas for hot work and confined space entry to ensure safety of facility, equipment, and personnel.
  • •Monitor and observe hot work/confined space entry to identify hazardous conditions early and mitigate hazards per best practices and policies.
  • •Recognize hazards and initiate protective action, including evacuation of personnel in the event of a fire.
  • •Check in/out equipment and tools daily with site members and keep non-essential personnel clear of active hot work areas.
  • •Assist with hands-on build and fabrication tasks and support Environmental Health and Safety procedures for hot work/confined space.

Key Requirements

  • •1+ years of experience supporting operations in a production, manufacturing, or construction environment.
  • •Ability to identify hazardous conditions and initiate protective actions, including evacuation when necessary.
  • •Familiarity with hot work-generating processes (cutting, grinding, welding) and the associated hazards.
  • •Ability to read and understand technical manuals and reports.
  • •Ability to use precision measuring instruments and exercise independent judgment.
