Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver advanced Navigation instruction.
  • •Mentor and assess Junior Warfare Officers throughout their training.
  • •Deliver training across classroom and bridge simulation environments.
  • •Contribute to course development and continuous improvement.
  • •Maintain contemporary knowledge of Navy tactics, techniques and procedures and collaborate with stakeholders to uphold training standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience as an Intermediate Navigating Officer aboard a Patrol Vessel (or Commonwealth equivalent).
  • •Completion of the Intermediate Navigation Course or an equivalent Commonwealth qualification.
  • •Approximately 12 months of experience in an operational appointment within the last five years.
  • •Strong communication and mentoring skills.
  • •Eligibility to obtain and maintain an NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
