Key Responsibilities

  • •Define, design, and execute strategic technical architecture for highly visible, critical data infrastructure.
  • •Lead the design and development of tools and infrastructure to improve and scale Cloudflare’s data infrastructure.
  • •Lead development of data pipelines and data products to serve internal customers, including automation for service delivery.
  • •Become a subject matter expert across data platforms, tools, infrastructure, and data to guide stakeholders.
  • •Mentor and support junior engineers to reinforce exceptional delivery and accountability.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years as a software engineer focused on designing, building, and scaling data infrastructure.
  • •Proven experience leading technical initiatives cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders to deliver value.
  • •Extensive experience with data infrastructure at scale, including Trino, Spark, Iceberg/Delta Lake, Kafka, Clickhouse, and PostgreSQL.
  • •Experience designing, building, and debugging data pipelines at scale.
  • •Proficient with backend languages (Go, Python, TypeScript, Rust) and SQL, with strong communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
