Job Summary

Lead pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying and Cost & Commercial Management across water, energy, defence, and infrastructure projects. Roles include estimating, cost planning, procurement, cost assurance, and post-contract financial management, with potential to lead teams, bid writing, and client engagement within a diverse PMCM group.

Job Function: Energy & Utilities Operations

Key Responsibilities

•Estimate, cost plan, procure, and provide cost assurance for QS/Cost and Commercial Management on projects of varying size and complexity.
•Deliver QS/commercial management services and, where applicable, lead a QS/commercial team, including mentoring staff and potential bid writing.
•Engage with clients and project teams, representing WSP UK at industry events and contributing to project controls and governance.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Civil Infrastructure and Utilities to deliver building and infrastructure projects.
•Travel to project locations as required and adapt to flexible/ hybrid working arrangements.

Key Requirements

•MRICS or Assoc RICS or working towards a professional qualification.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to demonstrate applicable QS/Cost and Commercial competencies as required by professional institutions.
•Demonstrated management, project leadership and delivery experience at senior level (where applicable).
•Familiarity with CostX and CEMAR; working knowledge of NEC Contracts and other industry standard contract forms.
