Key Responsibilities

  • •Use coding systems (ICD-10, ACHI, SNOMED CT and others) to assign accurate codes for diagnoses, services, procedures, and operations for inpatient and outpatient records.
  • •Interact with physicians and medical staff to obtain additional information needed for accurate coding.
  • •Ensure coded information is promptly and correctly entered into disease, service, and procedure databases with accurate diagnostic codes and narratives.
