Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and supervise the day-to-day delivery of Airfield Support Team activities, allocating work and resources to meet operational requirements.
  • •Ensure air traffic management equipment technical safeguarding activities are completed in accordance with regulatory and local requirements.
  • •Oversee control, maintenance, servicing and installation of radio communications equipment, antennas and related systems.
  • •Manage station frequency allocations, renewals and associated stakeholder communications.
  • •Support, develop and coach colleagues while monitoring performance, competency and training requirements, promoting a Zero Harm safety culture.

Key Requirements

  • •Previous supervisory or team leadership experience, with the ability to prioritise work, manage performance and develop colleagues.
  • •Knowledge of air traffic control ground radio communications systems, aviation engineering environments or comparable technical operations.
  • •Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and effective working relationships.
  • •Confident problem-solver able to make sound decisions, manage competing priorities and respond effectively under pressure.
  • •Able to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance, hold a full UK driving licence with fewer than six penalty points and meet required colour perception standards.
