Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and promote Thales procurement competitiveness internally and externally for bids/projects/products.
  • •Define the acquisition strategy and procurement work packages during the definition phase, considering market offers and prime contract requirements.
  • •Create and optimize the acquisition plan in coordination with global category managers/category managers/category buyers.
  • •Execute the acquisition plan across project/product development and production phases, meeting targets for time, quality, total cost of ownership, and risks/opportunities, and update the procurement dashboard.
  • •Liaise with operational teams and category buyers to monitor procurement plan execution and manage acquisition contractual requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Challenge acquisition needs and requirements and promote design-to-cost analysis with suppliers during the definition phase.
  • •Perform make-or-buy analysis (structural and project-oriented) and use market criteria such as KIP, partnership, and ToT.
  • •Define procurement work packages by organizing bid/project/product acquisition needs.
  • •Ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements including export control, environmental rules, and social regulations.
  • •Define and monitor contractual requirements for the acquisition and comply with the Manage Acquisition process.
