Job Summary

Lead operations for Transfer Agency’s AML/KYC team, ensuring high-quality service, minimized risk, and optimized costs/resources. Oversee transaction processing and investigations, including CDD/EDD, investor onboarding, negative news screening, and reconciliation of cash and unit accounts. Manage people and drive process improvements, user acceptance testing, and projects across Onshore and GSC. Produce management information reporting while coordinating with compliance, product, IT, and other stakeholders in a time-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure high-quality client service in the Transfer Agency AML/KYC function by minimizing risks and maximizing profit through effective management of costs/resources.
•Oversee processing and technical aspects including transaction checks, investigations/escalations, reconciliation of cash and unit accounts, and driving User Acceptance Testing when required.
•Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for new investors, including identification/validation of UBOs, PEPs, and high-risk jurisdictions.
•Analyze investor risk profiles and validate Source of Funds (SoF) and Source of Wealth (SoW) to ensure investments come from legitimate origins.
•Manage people/direct and indirect reports (approx. 50–100% of time) and lead projects/transformation initiatives, maintaining audit controls, productivity, and MI reporting.

Key Requirements

•Post-graduate diploma or degree in Commerce or equivalent financial background, with relevant AML KYC and risk certifications.
•Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a securities processing environment on AML KYC processes, including at least 24 months of Securities/Transfer Agency AML KYC experience.
•Prior experience in Transfer Agency processes such as Registration, Dealing, Payments and Reconciliation, with understanding of financial markets and mutual/hedge fund operations.
•Strong English communication skills for business letters/reports, with excellent AML KYC knowledge and associated risks including Sanctions.
•Demonstrated analytical skills (including statistical/data mining) and production/process improvement and leadership capabilities, including MI reporting.
