Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive global datacenter site selection and acquisition strategy in alignment with business goals.
  • •Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of datacenter acquisition from market research and RFPs to MSAs, SLAs, and lease terms.
  • •Build and maintain executive relationships with top-tier global providers and lead QBRs to drive vendor performance.
  • •Partner with Finance to build TCO models and evaluate power rates, incentives, and capex vs opEx.
  • •Collaborate with Legal and Datacenter Operations to ensure facilities meet DigitalOcean’s standards and stay ahead of market trends.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of experience in technical sourcing, real estate acquisition or infrastructure procurement, with at least 5 years focused on wholesale datacenter and colocation deals;
  • •proven track record of independently negotiating and closing complex, high-value datacenter contracts;
  • •strong financial modeling and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis skills;
  • •deep understanding of datacenter mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure and evolving power/cooling tech;
  • •exceptional communication skills with the ability to present to C-suite and technical stakeholders.
