Lead sourcing, selection, and procurement of global datacenter space and power as the primary commercial owner of DigitalOcean’s colocations. •Drive global datacenter site selection and acquisition strategy in alignment with business goals.
•Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of datacenter acquisition from market research and RFPs to MSAs, SLAs, and lease terms.
•Build and maintain executive relationships with top-tier global providers and lead QBRs to drive vendor performance.
•Partner with Finance to build TCO models and evaluate power rates, incentives, and capex vs opEx.
•Collaborate with Legal and Datacenter Operations to ensure facilities meet DigitalOcean’s standards and stay ahead of market trends.

Salary: USD 157,600 - 197,000 annually

Key Requirements

•10+ years of experience in technical sourcing, real estate acquisition or infrastructure procurement, with at least 5 years focused on wholesale datacenter and colocation deals;
•proven track record of independently negotiating and closing complex, high-value datacenter contracts;
•strong financial modeling and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis skills;
•deep understanding of datacenter mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure and evolving power/cooling tech;
•exceptional communication skills with the ability to present to C-suite and technical stakeholders.
