Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute shipboard installation, removal, modification, and testing of C4I, electronic, and electrical systems per NAVSEA standards, cableway specs, and engineering drawings.
  • •Perform inside plant cable pulling, multi-pin connector termination, rack populating, cable routing, banding, labeling, and pre-installation staging for communication suites.
  • •Assist with system-level evaluations including power checks, continuity checks, fiber/copper testing, and troubleshooting across active naval systems.
  • •Cross-train and flex between multiple programs within the Maritime Installation Team based on tasking, operational tempo, and shipyard availability.
  • •Enforce Emergency Action Plans (EAP), OSHA maritime standards, tag-out procedures, and environmental hazard precautions; maintain daily logs and comply with SCA time-recording.

Key Requirements

  • •U.S. citizenship eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and pass all HireRight background checks (preference for current Interim Secret or higher).
  • •Diploma or GED and 6–8+ years of advanced shipboard integration, electronics maintenance, or installation lead experience (or Associate Degree with 4+ years).
  • •Ability to serve as a deckplate/task lead, direct small install teams, coordinate with Ship’s Force/yard leads, and execute complex QA test packages.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted rapid access badging (DBIDS) for local military bases and private/naval shipyards.
  • •Ability to work in confined spaces, climb vertical ladders, lift/carry up to 100 lbs, and navigate shipboard deckplates in all weather conditions.
