Key Responsibilities

  • •Successfully complete the training program to obtain a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license from the NRC for the assigned site.
  • •Coordinate and implement plant equipment controls and integrated operations procedures across operations, maintenance, radiological support, modifications, maintenance planning, work control, and chemistry.
  • •Train and study for SRO certification.
  • •Demonstrate basic knowledge of engineering and maintain nuclear professionalism, safety consciousness, maturity, and integrity.
  • •Maintain active SRO licensing, ensure adherence to regulations and procedures, and make conservative, safety-focused decisions.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •Demonstrates good leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • •Prior reactor operator experience in the navy or commercial sector is preferred.
  • •Prior SRO license at a commercial facility is preferred.
  • •Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain composure during stressful situations.
