Key Responsibilities

  • •Report to the Stockpiling Supervisor, JP Operations Supervisor, or Terminal Operations Manager and perform general physical labor in the scrap yard.
  • •Strictly adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and provide a safe environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
  • •Read plans/instructions/specifications to determine work activities and coordinate with equipment operators for alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery/materials.
  • •Load, unload, identify, and distribute materials, machinery, and tools to appropriate locations; provide backup assistance throughout the yard as needed.
  • •Report equipment deficiencies/malfunctions for maintenance or repair and support internal control processes by understanding, communicating, complying, and suggesting modifications to policies/procedures/controls.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent experience in a similar role (preferred).
  • •Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • •Ability to safely perform physical activities required for yard work (standing/walking on uneven ground, lifting up to 50 pounds).
  • •Ability to work independently with attention to detail and continuous awareness.
  • •Must be at least 18 years old for U.S. applicants (16 for Canada applicants).
