Key Responsibilities

  • •Evaluate, approve, and implement engineering change orders for electro-mechanical assemblies and/or battery packs.
  • •Qualify alternate battery cells and electronic modules, including second-source development for battery pack subcomponents.
  • •Perform structural analysis with finite element analysis packages and conduct thermal analysis/thermal management for high-power electronic assemblies.
  • •Develop and execute test plans; analyze advanced testing results using lab equipment and approve FPIs/review completed tests.
  • •Create and manage design deliverables across development stages: 3D models, 2D drawings, tolerance stack-ups, DFMEA/PFMEA, and release engineering changes from prototype to mass production in PLM.

Key Requirements

  • •B.S. (or equivalent) in a Mechanical engineering discipline; MSME preferred.
  • •3-5 years of product development experience for Li-ion battery packs and Battery Management Systems.
  • •Strong 3D modeling skills (CATIA V5 preferred) and ability to release 2D detailed drawings and manage BOMs in PLM.
  • •Working knowledge of manufacturing processes for electronic products, including PCB familiarity desired.
  • •Demonstrated skills in GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and failure analysis (e.g., DFMEA/PFMEA), with strong analytical and communication abilities.
