Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and qualify system power to meet new product power requirements.
  • •Develop and execute test plans for upcoming power designs and document procedures, plans, and specifications for the Power team.
  • •Support resolution of power-related field/product issues for assigned projects.
  • •Engage with power supply vendors to develop power supplies that meet Cisco quality requirements and timelines.
  • •Perform design reviews of schematics, BOMs, layout and routing, and lead failure analysis activities (FA, RCA, CAR, 8D reports).

Key Requirements

  • •Develop system power designs that meet new product power requirements with 4+ years of experience (or 2+ years with a Master’s degree) in electrical/computer engineering or power electronics.
  • •Experience with power design, power electronics, or analog design.
  • •Experience with power design topologies such as buck, buck-boost, and designing for highest efficiency.
  • •Hands-on tool experience with at least one: Concept, Allegro, LTspice, PSpice, Simplis, Mathcad, PowerDC, SIWave, Ansys, or Hyperlynx.
  • •Ability to perform/drive power development activities including failure analysis, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective action reporting (CAR/8D).
