Job Summary

Senior mechanical design engineer leading cross-functional collaboration with Dyson teams and JDM partners to deliver robust mechanical designs and seamless product integration. Key Responsibilities

•Requirements Management: Promote adoption of requirement management practices and ensure JDM correctly interprets and implements requirements throughout development.
•Planning and reporting: Identify dependencies/risks with Dyson teams and JDM; plan aligned activities and report progress to stakeholders.
•Design management: Oversee mechanical design development by JDM teams, integrating electrical parts while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
•Build evaluation: Evaluate build processes and outputs against requirements to ensure they meet established standards.
•Test evaluation: Guide test planning and methods; drive testing execution and accurate result documentation.

Key Requirements

•Strong degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
•Experience in systems engineering, requirements management, and risk management in product development.
•Proven ability to scope development work, decompose problems, plan work, and drive improvements across design projects.
•Hands-on experience with 3D CAD, PLM systems, and analysis packages; able to guide tool makers and suppliers.
•Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese; strong leadership and collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
