Job Summary

Build and extend bare-metal embedded firmware for Pronto’s autonomous haulage systems, from ground-up implementation on custom boards to enhancing existing codebases. Translate electrical schematics and PCB functionality into functional firmware, develop interfaces for third-party vehicle communications, and implement drive-by-wire retrofits. Partner with electrical and software engineers on hardware specifications, and support field installations by troubleshooting firmware and hardware issues at customer sites.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field is required.
•Strong experience with embedded systems and real-time control applications.
•Proficiency with common communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, etc.).
•Experience with at least one CAN protocol (e.g., J1939, CanOpen) or LIN is a plus.
•Deep understanding of electronics and hands-on experience with electrical hardware implementation, testing, and validation.
