Key Responsibilities

  • •Design campus-scale hydronic heating and cooling networks to support resilient building operations.
  • •Lead HVAC, hydronic, plumbing, and energy-related building system designs from concept development through construction.
  • •Advance district energy system planning and design for thermal networks and central utility plants.
  • •Evaluate and integrate major mechanical equipment including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and heat pumps.
  • •Develop technical studies and energy analyses, and guide junior team members through mentorship and collaboration.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • •Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licence in Ontario, or eligibility to obtain P.Eng. registration within a reasonable timeframe.
  • •Five or more years of experience in consulting engineering, building systems design, or related project delivery.
  • •Demonstrated experience designing HVAC and hydronic systems, including mechanical room layouts and building mechanical infrastructure.
  • •Working knowledge of applicable building codes, energy standards, and recognized industry practices.
