Key Responsibilities

  • •Troubleshoot and maintain all types of heavy equipment, including dump trucks, pavers, reclaim and milling machines, loaders, graders, dozers, and rollers.
  • •Examine equipment and coordinate with the superintendent, operator, or project manager to determine the nature and extent of damage or malfunction.
  • •Plan work procedures (scheduling) and/or coordinate solutions such as parts and preventive maintenance in conjunction with the Equipment Manager.
  • •Travel to field/job sites as needed and also work in the shop.
  • •Ensure compliance with safety best practices and company policies, including conducting safety training and toolbox talks; engage the equipment team in safety initiatives.

  • •Examine equipment damage or malfunction and discuss the nature/extent with the superintendent, operator, or project manager.
  • •Plan work procedures such as scheduling and/or coordinate solutions like parts and PM service in conjunction with the Equipment Manager.
  • •Ensure the equipment team follows all safety best practices, company policies, and safety rules; conduct safety training and toolbox talks.
  • •Travel in the field and on jobsites and work in the shop as needed (CDL is a plus).
