Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in ERIE’s district sales manager training program and complete assigned projects independently.
  • •Apply product knowledge to assist with operations in assigned agent offices, including training agents on product knowledge, underwriting, agency operations, and sales.
  • •Discuss proposed business with agents and clients, gather underwriting information, and advise clients on coverages to achieve insurance goals.
  • •Accompany sales managers, claims, and underwriting personnel on agent visitations and develop productive working relationships to support quality growth.
  • •Implement sales promotion programs, represent ERIE with policyholders, and respond to inquiries regarding claims and coverage matters.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree required, or an associate’s degree with two years of sales, underwriting, claims, or marketing experience, or a high school diploma/GED with four years of sales, underwriting, claims, or marketing experience.
  • •Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software required.
  • •Willingness to relocate to and reside within an assigned territory required.
  • •Frequent travel required.
  • •Completion of Life and Property/Casualty licensing exams required to complete the training program; willingness to pursue insurance designations required.
