Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and manage the target map of the apparel manufacturing landscape by category, country, tier, and capability to drive supply density.
  • •Source, pitch, negotiate, and close factories and mills end to end, moving from cold contact to signed agreements and first live orders.
  • •Recruit and onboard suppliers by defining supplier profiles (MOQs, lead times, machinery, certifications, compliance, price bands) and building reliable onboarding and verification loops.
  • •Run structured supplier discovery and prototype supplier-facing offers to validate supply-side product-market fit and understand what changes supplier behavior.
  • •Define and own supply-side metrics (activation, time-to-first-order, repeat rate, category coverage, quote responsiveness) and translate supplier needs into product roadmaps.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years in marketplace supply growth, business development, sourcing, or apparel production, with real experience on the manufacturing side.
  • •Proven ability to open and close new supplier relationships with businesses that had no prior reason to trust you.
  • •Comfort operating without an established playbook and turning ambiguity into a working plan.
  • •Strong analytical approach—instrumenting work, arguing from evidence, and working comfortably with spreadsheets and data.
  • •Cross-cultural fluency and willingness to travel, combined with clear writing skills.
