Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and follow-up repairs in a shop environment.
  • •Independently determine parts required and interact with the Shop Parts Department to obtain them.
  • •Maintain a clean and safe work environment and assist with end-of-day cleanup for tools, parts, and equipment.
  • •Use hand tools, precision instruments, trailer tools, welding equipment, lifts, and jacks to perform repairs and routine maintenance tasks (e.g., oil changes, battery checks, lubrication).
  • •Document repair work and DOT forms according to company standards using company-issued device and/or Karmak, including uploading pictures of work performed, parts used, and findings.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as additional education/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •OEM training and certifications preferred.
  • •Must be able to complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and have a current valid DOT medical card (or be able to take a DOT physical if needed).
  • •REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/OBTAIN WITHIN 18 MONTHS: ASE T8 (PMI).
