Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and operate highly available, scalable microservices forming the backbone of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
  • •Architect and implement the central API gateway, covering massive-scale traffic, security policies, and observability.
  • •Enhance core Kubernetes infrastructure to enable a fast, reliable deployment experience for developers using SAP Business Application Studio.
  • •Own services end-to-end from code to deployment and participate in 24/7 on-call rotations to ensure service reliability.
  • •Mentor other engineers, drive architectural decisions, and establish best practices to elevate the team’s technical capabilities.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of professional experience in backend or platform engineering.
  • •Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • •Expertise in an object-oriented language such as Go (preferred), C++, Java, or Node.js.
  • •Hands-on experience with cloud-native paradigms and container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • •Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and using monitoring/observability tools (Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, or Dynatrace).
