Key Responsibilities

  • •Support pharmacist-directed services by stocking, labeling, assembling, and filling medications within the RPhT scope of practice.
  • •Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needed medications/supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs.
  • •Respond to customer inquiries and escalate to the pharmacist when necessary.
  • •Practice Ontario and federal pharmacy regulations for ordering, handling, and management of prescriptions and prescription drug products.
  • •Maintain security and privacy obligations for personal health information in compliance with PHIPA and applicable federal privacy legislation.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 1 year of experience working as a regulated pharmacy technician.
  • •Current registration as a Regulated Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
  • •Effective knowledge of Ontario and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations relevant to pharmacy practice.
  • •High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in dispensing and documentation.
  • •Proficiency in English; knowledge of French is an asset.
