Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end accounting for foreign-currency transactions, balances, exposures, and Treasury-driven FX activity across multiple entities and ledgers.
  • •Manage monthly/quarterly/annual FX close activities, including valuations, revaluations, journal approvals, and review/explanation of material FX movements.
  • •Oversee FX derivatives accounting and hedge accounting activities, including valuations, settlements, documentation, effectiveness assessments, and required disclosures.
  • •Reconcile FX exposure information between Treasury systems, bank data, subledgers, consolidation systems, and the general ledger; ensure controls and reconciliations are complete and signed off.
  • •Design and maintain internal controls for FX accounting, valuation, reconciliations, rates, and hedge-related processes; partner with auditors and implement remediation for control gaps.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • •At least 6–12 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, FX accounting, Treasury accounting, financial controllership, or a similar role.
  • •Strong understanding of foreign-currency accounting, including transaction vs. functional currency, revaluation, and realized/unrealized FX gains and losses.
  • •Practical experience with FX derivatives (forwards, options, swaps) and knowledge of hedge accounting principles, documentation, and effectiveness assessment.
  • •Strong month-end close, journal-entry review, balance-sheet reconciliation, internal controls, and audit-ready documentation experience in a multinational environment.
