Job Summary

Design and develop large-scale, high-concurrency, low-latency backend systems that power TikTok’s ads monetization and related product features. Architect backend solutions with scalability, fault tolerance, and high availability in mind, and take work from requirements through design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Partner with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications, and build automation tools to improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and develop scalable, high-performance backend services and platforms supporting monetization product domains.
•Independently architect backend solutions, create technical designs, and ensure scalability, fault tolerance, and high availability.
•Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
•Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
•Develop automation tools to streamline operations and improve development efficiency.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (any), Information Technology, or related fields with relevant work experience.
•Proficient in Python backend development with hands-on experience using Django, Flask, FastAPI, or equivalent frameworks.
•Experience designing and implementing robust RESTful APIs using best practices for scalability, maintainability, and security.
•Experience designing and building high-performance, low-latency backend systems.
•Demonstrated ability to independently design, document, and deliver technical solutions balancing business requirements and technical constraints.
