Job Summary

Maintain and troubleshoot equipment and plant services at the Hartlepool site, minimizing downtime and waste through emergency support and planned maintenance. Participate in risk assessments and HACCP studies, carry out repairs on electro-mechanical food manufacturing equipment and pneumatic/hydraulic/instrumentation systems (including PLC/SCADA), and keep the SAP PM/CMMS maintenance records and documentation up to date while ensuring health and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure maintenance activities comply with health and safety standards, assisting others and reporting safety breaches when needed.
•Maintain equipment and systems in the plant, providing emergency response support to operations to minimise downtime and waste.
•Lead or assist troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of electro-mechanical food manufacturing equipment/processes using pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentation, PLC, and SCADA systems.
•Troubleshoot and maintain facilities plant and services, including compressed air, refrigeration, and steam.
•Update maintenance records and process control/documentation in the maintenance management system (SAP PM or other), and carry out the weekly work schedule as prioritised in the CMMS.

Key Requirements

•Trade or degree qualification in Electrical, with multi-skilled/cross-skilled capability including mechanical.
•Strong diagnostic/troubleshooting experience in a high-volume manufacturing or process environment.
•Knowledge and experience maintaining electro/mechanical automated equipment and processes (pneumatic, hydraulic, and instrumentation-controlled systems).
•Capability to troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems safely.
•Planned maintenance knowledge, including experience with LV systems, direct/inverter drives, soft starts, PLC/automated systems, mechanical/fluid drive processes, and lubrication systems.
