Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide development management advice through high-quality reviews of transport planning documentation affecting the Strategic Road Network.
  • •Undertake and review transport assessments, interrogate calculations and assumptions, and communicate outcomes in technical notes.
  • •Support planning consultations and stakeholder engagement with public sector stakeholders, private developers, and other third parties.
  • •Assist with delivery of tasks, meet deadlines, manage own workload and junior workloads, and support budget preparation and monitoring.
  • •Mentor junior staff and draw on technical team expertise while building and maintaining client relationships.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Spatial/Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • •Membership of a professional body such as CIHT, TPS, or CILT.
  • •Awareness/knowledge of transport planning principles, policies, and regulations in the UK.
  • •Experience and enthusiasm in helping mentor and develop junior staff.
  • •Transport modelling experience (local, and ideally strategic).
