Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the technical direction and architecture for Pro Verifications, including patterns and engineering contracts across the verification system.
  • •Set the shape of verification services and their contracts across the KYC/KYB flow.
  • •Design fail-closed behavior and audit trails that meet regulatory requirements.
  • •Abstract and integrate KYC/KYB vendors so failures don’t become outages, and build resilient interactions.
  • •Drive architecture decisions (ADRs), mentor senior engineers through design reviews, code, and direct feedback.

Key Requirements

  • •Around eight years building and running production systems, with a track record owning a domain’s technical direction.
  • •Deep, fluent expertise in Rust, with the ability to work across TypeScript and React where verification meets the customer.
  • •Set architecture others build on and design out recurring classes of failure, not just fix incidents.
  • •Make teams faster through patterns, tooling, or mentoring, improving delivery and shipping outcomes.
  • •Strong distributed systems and secure design experience, integrating third-party APIs with real timeouts, retries, idempotency, circuit breakers, and backup paths.
  • •Comfortable with gRPC, Temporal, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, MySQL/MariaDB, Redis, and GitLab CI.
