Job Summary

Drive growth of SP Energy Networks’ DSO flexibility service markets by onboarding and engaging Flexibility Service Providers from exploration through scheduling and dispatch. Support flexibility product development and improvements using market intelligence and operational insights, publish key guidance documents, benchmark against industry best practice, and use real-time/short-term modelling to improve procurement and forecasting. Ensure market rules and KPI/reporting requirements are met through collaboration with the Market Facilitator and relevant industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Grow SP Energy Networks’ flexibility market by supporting existing and new Flexibility Service Providers through onboarding, scheduling, and dispatch.
•Support the design and delivery of flexibility tenders across monthly, day-ahead, and bilateral markets and contribute to market engagement strategy through webinars, events, and promotion.
•Develop and enhance flexibility products using stakeholder engagement, market intelligence, and operational insights, including real-time and short-term modelling capabilities.
•Provide commercial analysis and market intelligence by publishing documents such as Participation Guidance and Market Prospectus and benchmarking against competing markets.
•Collaborate with the Market Facilitator and industry stakeholders to ensure flexibility markets operate transparently and in line with regulatory requirements, including KPI/reporting and industry working groups.

Key Requirements

•Experience or exposure to the energy sector, including energy supply, aggregation, energy management, trading, or flexibility services.
•Strong commercial mindset and knowledge of ancillary services, balancing mechanisms, and wider energy markets.
•Proven contract management and administration skills across the full agreement lifecycle (negotiation, implementation, delivery, governance, financial management).
•Experience working in regulated environments with engagement across stakeholders and regulators (e.g., Ofgem) or equivalent bodies.
•Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence decision-making and operate in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
