Job Summary

Provide first-line managed security services for clients by monitoring and operating the SOC’s SIEM. Configure and maintain SIEM and detection rules, investigate alerts, and manage incidents through closure. Support incident response procedures, conduct forensic-style analysis using log and packet data, and ensure compliance readiness for audits. Collaborate with security and IT teams, optimize SOC tool performance, and automate repetitive response workflows to maintain zero SLA misses.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate and maintain the SIEM system, including collecting, normalizing, and storing security log data.
•Develop, customize, and manage SIEM security rules to detect threats and respond based on alert severity.
•Investigate security events, manage incidents through all phases to closure, and document findings to reduce false positives.
•Conduct and support incident response efforts, including incident response procedure updates and cross-team coordination.
•Perform forensic-style analysis using logs and tools, optimize SOC toolset performance, and collaborate on vendor updates and patches.

Key Requirements

•Entry-level engineering role providing first-line support for standard, low-complexity security incidents and service requests.
•Configure, customize, and manage SIEM to collect, analyze, and detect security events using appropriate rules and alerts.
•Investigate security alerts and manage incidents through response phases to closure, updating tickets and writing incident reports.
•Use SIEM/forensic techniques to reconstruct event histories from system logs and perform computer forensic investigations.
•Valid CEH certification required.
