Job Summary

Lead EHS strategy and governance for the UK & Europe region, creating policies, management systems, and risk controls aligned with legislation and industry standards. Key Responsibilities

•Develop and implement the UK & Europe EHS strategy, policies, management systems, and governance framework aligned with legislation and industry standards.
•Provide strategic EHS leadership and advice to senior management to support business decisions, operational planning, and risk management.
•Coordinate EHS activities during project execution, including reviewing customer EHS requirements during tendering and commercial negotiations.
•Establish and maintain management systems for identifying, assessing, managing, mitigating, and monitoring EHS risks, including emergency response and incident management.
•Oversee EHS assurance programs (audits, inspections, compliance reviews, reporting), drive safety culture initiatives, and manage relationships with regulators, clients, and certification bodies.

Key Requirements

•Degree or professional qualification in Environment, Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
•Significant EHS leadership experience in energy storage, renewable energy, construction, utilities, infrastructure, or other high-risk industries.
•Strong knowledge of UK and European EHS legislation and management systems, including ISO 45001.
•Proven ability to develop EHS strategy, governance frameworks, and organizational capability.
•Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead EHS performance across multiple countries and complex projects.
