Strategic Customer Solutions Architect (APAC) owns and advances high-potential enterprise accounts, serving as a hands-on Postgres expert. You’ll architect scalable solutions, optimize production systems, lead migrations, ensure security/compliance, and influence product roadmaps while engaging senior technical and executive stakeholders across APAC.

Job Function: Solutions Engineering & Sales Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Strategic Account Ownership: Build and maintain deep, trust-based relationships with senior technical and executive stakeholders; develop account plans mapping Supabase capabilities to long-term objectives and identify expansion opportunities
•Scaled Performance & Reliability: Ensure systems perform reliably under production load; identify risks, lead performance tuning engagements, and coordinate with Support, Engineering, and Product to resolve platform-level issues
•Postgres Architecture & Optimization: Lead deep-dive architectural reviews; diagnose bottlenecks, advise on schema design, indexing, query optimization, and connection management
•Security, Compliance & Enterprise Deployment: Guide customers on enterprise security capabilities including RLS, audit logging, SOC 2/HIPAA, encryption; support self-hosted/BYO deployments
•Large-Scale Migrations: Own end-to-end migration strategy from various source systems (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Firebase, Fauna, PlanetScale) to Postgres/Supabase

Key Requirements

•10+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Database Engineering, or a closely related field with enterprise-scale systems
•Expert-level PostgreSQL knowledge including internals, performance tuning, replication, extensions, and schema design
•Demonstrated experience leading complex database migrations from Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL and cloud-native/NoSQL platforms
•Familiarity with AI application architecture including vector databases, embedding pipelines, and similarity search (pgvector or similar) a strong plus
•Experience with enterprise security/compliance requirements (Row Level Security, SOC 2, HIPAA) and self-hosted or BYO cloud deployments
