Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate and support the 4D in vivo microCT/microscopy offering, maintaining equipment to optimal operational standards.
  • •Provide specialist advice to internal and external users on imaging workflows, equipment capabilities, experimental feasibility, and study design.
  • •Deliver user training and maintain competency records to enable independent user access where appropriate.
  • •Troubleshoot experimental and technical imaging issues, and recommend optimization of imaging protocols and workflows.
  • •Support facility operations including scheduling, user access, data management/monitoring, and basic systems administration such as file transfer, scheduled backups, and long-term archiving.

Key Requirements

  • •Educated to degree level (or equivalent) or relevant technical qualification and experience; where no equivalent qualification is held, extensive proven practical and technical experience is required.
  • •Experience working with in vivo research models, including animal handling and supporting regulated experimental procedures in a research environment.
  • •Proven experience working with advanced imaging technologies within a research, technical, or facility environment.
  • •Understanding of and ability to apply relevant regulatory (e.g. Home Office), governance, and Health and Safety procedures in a research environment.
  • •Proficiency with software used for image processing, image analysis, and data management associated with imaging technologies.
