Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the preparation of transport strategies, scheme appraisal and/or business case development.
  • •Work with regional and national leads on a wide range of projects, producing high-quality analysis and outputs within time and budget.
  • •Preparation and delivery of in-person presentations/workshops to internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • •Support bids to win work with existing and new clients and contribute to innovation in the regional transport market.
  • •Manage your time to meet deadlines and provide support to graduates and apprentices.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree/Masters in an analytical subject (e.g., engineering, geography, mathematics, economics, spatial planning) or equivalent experience.
  • •Membership of, or working towards membership of, a relevant chartered professional institution (e.g., CIHT or TPS).
  • •Experience in transport strategy, planning and/or business case development, with strong technical capabilities in literacy, numeracy, and communication.
  • •Analytical background with a broad understanding of transport planning methods and best practices.
  • •Excellent written and oral communication skills, inquisitive mindset, and ability to work in a consultancy environment.
  • •Ability to undertake in-person stakeholder facilitation and adapt to a wide range of transport planning projects.
  • •Flexibility to travel to AECOM and client offices as required.
