Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and lead Forterra’s contracts function by setting strategy, standards, and processes for contracting with customers and partners.
  • •Take responsibility for material agreements that affect revenue, runway, and the ability to field capability, including structuring deals during capture.
  • •Drive growth by structuring and executing new government awards and expanding existing ones, advising on contract vehicles and acquisition strategy.
  • •Lead the acquisition lifecycle: review proposals and pricing volumes, negotiate terms/data rights/IP, administer awards through performance, resolve equitable adjustment requests, and ensure compliance.
  • •Build and manage subcontract and teaming portfolios (NDAs, teaming agreements, subcontracts, and flow downs) and represent Contracts across vendors, primes, partners, engineers, executives, and customers.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of federal contracting or acquisition experience in government and/or industry.
  • •Demonstrated command of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DFARS, including contract types, competitive procedures, and cost/price analysis.
  • •Working knowledge of government data rights and intellectual property under DFARS 252.227, with the ability to negotiate them.
  • •Experience leading negotiations independently and administering awards through performance and closeout.
  • •Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
