Job Summary

Repair and maintain construction and mechanical equipment, including trucks, trailers, bulldozers, excavators, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems. Troubleshoot issues and make economical, durable repairs by dismantling devices, replacing defective parts, adjusting functional components, and installing special parts. Perform services such as oil changes, greasing, fluid changes, and filter replacement while supporting preventative maintenance and ordering parts and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

•Troubleshoot problems and make economical, durable repairs to construction and mechanical equipment.
•Maintain and repair heavy equipment, trucks, and shop/non-mobile equipment on a company-wide basis.
•Service vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, greasing, adding fluids, changing filters, and following preventative maintenance schedules.
•Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, and drive trains.
•Order parts and supplies, maintain purchase orders and invoices, and operate a computer for job functions.

Key Requirements

•5 years of experience as a skilled automotive mechanic, including mechanical maintenance experience with heavy duty construction equipment (e.g., dozers, excavators, motor graders).
•High school diploma or GED.
•Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
•Ability to use computers (keyboards) accurately and have knowledge of database software.
