Job Summary

Lead operations for the Buildings & Places business line across Canada, partnering with the COO and Regional Business Line Leader. Own strategic planning with KPIs, drive project delivery oversight, quality/technical excellence, safety, client satisfaction, and resource allocation. Build and coach a team of Operations Managers and Project Directors, support performance and financial metrics, implement change initiatives, and represent the business at key industry and community events.

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with the Regional Business Line Leader to identify, develop, and implement Canada Buildings & Places objectives and strategies, including KPIs and targets.
•Build and coach a high-performing team of Operations Managers and Project Directors, supporting staff development, mentorship, retention, and organizational structure.
•Ensure strong project delivery and client service through project oversight, staffing, workload balancing, and technical work aligned with scope, budget, and standards.
•Implement change initiatives to respond to market expectations, client needs, and workforce needs, including changes to processes, policies, tools, or staffing.
•Actively contribute to win strategies and oversee project execution escalations affecting client satisfaction and best practices; represent the business at key events.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Building Engineering, Planning or related field plus 12 years of relevant Design and Building industry experience, including 4 years of leadership experience.
•15 years of increased supervisory, management, and operational/financial experience with essential industry-related experience.
•Experience in the Design and Building industry, including alternative contracting such as integrated project delivery, P3, or Alliance.
•Excellent supervisory and leadership skills, including managing large teams of technical staff and leadership-level staff.
•Proven delivery as a Project Manager on large complex projects/programs; PMP certification is an asset.
