Key Responsibilities

  • •Receive, check, and register samples; perform lab tests and deliver accurate, timely test result reports to meet schedules.
  • •Keep up to date with regulatory and plant documentation requirements (e.g., MSDS, SOPs, work instructions, emergency procedures) to ensure compliance.
  • •Interpret test results to help establish optimal operational parameters for current operations and long-term plant integrity.
  • •Support QHSE audits and implement corrective actions, adhering to health, safety, security, and environmental procedures.
  • •Confirm lab instrument calibration and maintain chemical and laboratory equipment stock to ensure uninterrupted testing services.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • •3 years’ experience in a laboratory function within a reputed plant, preferably power and water desalination.
  • •Certified environmental and safety qualification.
  • •In-depth knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and environmental/health impact of chemicals used in the plant.
  • •Strong time management, planning/organizing, communication, and data collection and analysis skills.
