Key Responsibilities

  • •Process Development & Validation: Define and qualify technical manufacturing processes and ensure processes meet yield and throughput targets.
  • •DFM/DFA & Risk Mitigation: Lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Assembly (DFA) reviews with R&D. Utilize PFMEA or similar to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks before they reach the factory floor.
  • •Tooling & Fixture Engineering: Design, procure, and validate custom assembly fixtures, jigs, and specialized production tooling. Ensure all tools meet tight-tolerance requirements and ergonomic standards.
  • •NPI Transition: Lead the "technical hand-off" to production by troubleshooting pilot runs, resolving material issues, and qualifying/onboarding Tier-1 Contract Manufacturers (CMs).
  • •Technical Approvals: Act as a key reviewer in the PLM change management workflow; approve ECOs/MCOs to ensure production readiness.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering; 8+ years in process development/NPI within high-volume or complex hardware environments
  • •Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks or Nx) for fixture design and assembly review
  • •Analytical Rigor with SPC, DOE, and Root Cause Analysis (8D or 5-Whys)
  • •Foundational knowledge of ERP and PLM workflows (Microsoft BC ERP and Teamcenter PLM bonus)
  • •Ability to define and qualify manufacturing processes to meet yield and throughput targets
