Job Summary

Join WSP as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Technician at the Blackhawk, CO plant. In this full-time role, you’ll monitor and adjust plant processes, perform lab QA/QC sampling and benchtop spectrophotometer analysis, collect influent samples, operate filter presses, and support maintenance and data logging across 12-hour shifts. Collaborate with Mining Team and adhere to site health and safety plans; OSHA HazWOPER certification is required or in progress.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist colleagues in the water treatment plant process with monitoring and adjustments.
•Perform laboratory water and process sampling QA/QC which includes solids analysis and benchtop spectrophotometer analysis of water samples.
•Perform influent water source sample collection and equipment monitoring at remote locations.
•Perform data collection and data entry of process and other operations information into operations logbooks up to 6 times per day.
•Perform filter press operation up to 12 times per day.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 20.72 - 28.5 hourly

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma or GED.
•At least one year of plant operations experience.
•Ability to obtain a 40-hour OSHA HazWOPER certificate or have a current certificate.
•Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.
•Ability to operate heavy mobile, construction type equipment.
