Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing, and rating guidelines.
  • •Steer and control the local portfolio with the Head of Engineering to achieve financial targets.
  • •Liaise with functional areas to review end-to-end underwriting life cycle performance.
  • •Collaborate with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims, and other product lines to drive marketing strategies and cross-selling.
  • •Ensure underwriting consistency and discipline, and adherence to corporate guidelines, authority levels, and the local regulatory framework.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in Industrial, Civil, Construction, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • •8–15 years of proven underwriting experience in Risk Engineering for corporate and construction risks and engineering professional firms.
  • •Proven leadership skills.
  • •Expertise in risk assessment and a strong understanding of the policy administration life cycle.
  • •Sound knowledge of pricing with strong market analysis skills.
