Job Summary

Develop and execute the strategy for construction and corporate client risks in the Italian market from Milan, supporting Allianz Mid Corporate targets. Lead portfolio steering in conjunction with the Head of Engineering, ensure underwriting authority and guideline compliance, and review end-to-end underwriting performance. Partner with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims and product lines to drive marketing strategies and cross-selling, and support new/modified product development and business acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing, and rating guidelines.
•Steer and control the local portfolio with the Head of Engineering to achieve financial targets.
•Liaise with functional areas to review end-to-end underwriting life cycle performance.
•Collaborate with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims, and other product lines to drive marketing strategies and cross-selling.
•Ensure underwriting consistency and discipline, and adherence to corporate guidelines, authority levels, and the local regulatory framework.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: EUR 60,000 - 75,000

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree in Industrial, Civil, Construction, or Mechanical Engineering.
•8–15 years of proven underwriting experience in Risk Engineering for corporate and construction risks and engineering professional firms.
•Proven leadership skills.
•Expertise in risk assessment and a strong understanding of the policy administration life cycle.
•Sound knowledge of pricing with strong market analysis skills.
