Job Summary

Serve as key legal advisor to xAI’s product and engineering teams, counseling on AI-powered products and features spanning personalization, interests, creators, ads, and international expansion. Partner with Legal and Public Policy leaders and collaborate across Legal, Engineering, Safety, Policy, and Business Development to build scalable legal input processes. Stay current on U.S. and international laws affecting privacy, intellectual property, content regulation, consumer protection, and advertising.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide legal advice to xAI product and engineering teams focused on AI, personalization, interests, creators, ads, and international expansion.
•Advise and work alongside engineering teams as they build new products and features.
•Partner with Legal and Public Policy leaders to understand how product evolution is influenced by global laws.
•Develop scalable, effective processes for delivering legal input on strategic product initiatives.
•Stay current on relevant U.S. and international laws and regulations related to AI, privacy, intellectual property, content regulation, consumer protection, and advertising.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 200,000 - 230,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years of legal experience (preferred) in areas including AI, privacy, consumer protection, and content regulation; some combination is acceptable.

•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas concisely and effectively.
•Regulatory and in-house experience (preferred, not required).
•Ability to integrate into cross-functional teams with a cooperative, participatory approach.
